The painting represents hope for sustainable agriculture. It features youth in a yellow fisherman jacket to symbolise today’s youth and the importance of fishermen as one of food harvesters. It is one of the main issues in agriculture industry, that a lot of youths leave for the city and abandon farms.
A maize in a circle symbolises the most dominant staple food in the world and how important it is to have a basic food source.
Other elements in the painting show the biodiversity created by sustainable agriculture. For example, using a cow as a low-carbon-footprint-producing method to help prepare the soil. Breeding chicken to help farmers with the unwanted weed in their maize farms, while all the manure substitutes for fertiliser.
Bees also play important part in biodiversity and sustainable agriculture such as pollinating fruit trees and vegetables.
